Sphonx lets you discover scientifically advanced technology and antique artifacts on an archaeological expedition in an ancient Egyptian pyramid. You are Ignacio "Iggy" Dias, a young and interested archaeologist in the near future. He helps Dr. Allan Nowicz, an experienced scientist and archaeologist who was involved in the development of some of the most advanced technological breakthroughs in recent archaeology. He is leading the current research on the dig site and he's also managing the bureaucratic side of the expedition in Egypt today. Dr Nowicz is very proud to have a Death Erasing Multispectral Ultrawave Mummified Material Igniter Ray Device with him on this site. It's purpose is to revive even partially conserved cells in old, very old and even ancient Egyptian tissue and give it back its previous human form.
Of course, such advanced technology needs careful use and planned application. So Dr Nowicz wants to wait for Dr Sebranovic to arrive, the spiritual and logical father of the very advanced tissue reviving device. Ignacio Dias, a studious but a bit clumsy apprentice working for Dr Nowicz instead wants to finally see results and start the live study of ancient life with support of the DEMUMMI-RAY rather yesterday than waiting even longer.
Tension between the two clashing opinions escalates and late at night Iggy sneaks into the excavation / laboratory deep inside the darkest parts of the age-old pyramid only to get involved in a centuries spanning adventure.
Playtime is very much manageable in one to two lunch breaks... for the price of a good coffee...
Just for your interest, we are now TripTilt, but all games by now are release under the old game studio name of Toxic Tuba Games and feature that logo, don't get confused there :)

Hi. I bought this game and it seems great. However, I'm having an issue right after the first scene. The game soft locks in the sleeping chamber. You can move mouse around, but there is no active hotspots and the top menu can be called but not interacted with. I really would like to continue playing. Have you got any fix for this? I tried to change the settings multiple times, but no luck there.

we playtested the game a lot and this never happened. Have you tried restarting from the beginning? Probably something engine internal screwed up and this hopefully cleans it. Sorry I cannot give you a better answer, but please report back if it helps. The sleeping chamber is the start of the game, you have done the tutorial already and can easily and quickly skip past it.
Are you playing on windows or linux?
I started the game again, the same issue happens every time. Tried to delete the config settings and saves. Absolutely nothing helps. I'm on windows 10.
Edit: Tested with the demo: This issue doesn't exist in it at all.
reuploaded the gamefiles, please redownload and try again. I just tested the files and it totally works on my end.
Strange. Even that didn't help. Deleted all possible files related to the game, downloaded new files and ran the game without making any changes to any settings. Still hangs in the same place :( Also tested on another computer. Does the same there.
Edit: And now it suddenly works. I didn't change a thing. Bizarre. Well, problem solved at this point.
phew, I was getting really uneasy there as I just had tested and played to the part for the millionth time and didn't look forward to testing it agaiiiiiin :)

Somehow I think that cat has been much more involved than it seems. Also, Nowicz is so unpleasant, he cannot behave around people. :)
